The concept of seeking after happiness is a very pervasive one in all levels of our lives. Whether we are talking about children who want toys and treats or adults who want a raise or promotions, we find that we are always seeking after happiness. However, most of us do not realize that the reason we seek after happiness is because we believe it will make us happy. Of course, there is also the element of luck in this equation.

We need to understand the nature of our own heart and mind in order to know whether or not happiness will bring us joy. If we chase after things that will make us happy, such as money, power, fame, possessions, etc., then we end up missing out on what true happiness is all about.
